# Outlook Mail

> Start flows from incoming email, and read, send, reply to, forward, move, delete and categorize Outlook email

Use Outlook Mail to start a flow when an email arrives, and to work with email from inside a flow. This flow files every invoice from acme.com under **Invoices** and thanks the sender. Press **Run** to watch it.

Every trigger and node needs an Outlook connection. See [Connect Microsoft 365](https://docs.noxus.ai/integrations/providers/microsoft.md) to set one up.

## Triggers

Both triggers check the mailbox every minute. Only email that arrives after you turn the trigger on starts a flow: email already in the mailbox never does. Leave a filter empty to match every email; an email must match every filter you set.

What it does

Pass `internet_message_id` to the nodes below when the email may move between the trigger and the node.

Every node except List Outlook Categories has a **(Shared Mailbox)** version. It works the same way, with one extra field, **Shared mailbox**, for the address of the shared mailbox.

What it does

## Working with several emails

Bind a list of emails to a node and it handles each one. When one of several emails fails, the run continues and shows a warning for that email. The run fails only when every email fails, or when there was a single email.

## Troubleshooting

> [accordion] An email did not start the trigger
>
> Open the trigger's events. Every skipped email is listed with a reason, such as `Sender doesn't match`, `Subject doesn't contain "invoice"` or `Email has none of the selected categories`. Email that was in the mailbox before the trigger was turned on never starts a flow.

> [accordion] Gave up on an email that kept failing for 30 minutes
>
> The trigger retries an email that fails. After 30 minutes and three attempts it skips the email, notifies you, and lists it as skipped in the trigger's events with the error.

> [accordion] No email with message ID ... was found in this mailbox
>
> The email was moved or deleted after its ID was read. `message_id` changes when an email moves, so pass `internet_message_id` instead.

> [accordion] More than one email in this mailbox has message ID ...
>
> Two emails share an Internet Message ID, which happens with email sent to yourself or copied by an inbox rule. Pass that email's `message_id` instead.

> [accordion] Outlook mail access was denied
>
> For an OAuth connection, reconnect it and allow mail access. For a service principal, an admin must grant the Microsoft Graph permission named in the error. See [Connect Microsoft 365](https://docs.noxus.ai/integrations/providers/microsoft.md).

> [accordion] Mail folder ... was not found
>
> Check the spelling, or use a path such as `Inbox/Invoices` or the folder's ID.

> [accordion] Outlook rejected the request
>
> Check the search query and the subject and sender filters. If you use **Page token**, it must come from a Read node with the same settings.

> [accordion] Shared mailbox nodes cannot reach the mailbox
>
> Shared mailbox nodes and triggers need an **Outlook Shared Mailboxes** connection, and the signed-in user needs Full Access to the mailbox in Exchange.
