Tags are custom colored labels that group related work. They belong to the workspace, not to a single tool, meaning the same tags are shared across flows, agents, knowledge bases and tables.

Creating a tag

1

Open the Tags menu

In the Workshop, open any tab and click Tags next to the search bar. Then click Create new tag.
2

Name the tag

Enter a Tag name, for example Finance. Names are required, can be up to 36 characters and must be unique in the workspace.
3

Pick a color

Choose a Color and click Save.
A tag created on one tab is available on every tab straight away. You can also create a tag while tagging an item: open a row’s tag menu (see below) and click New tag. The new tag is added to that item straight away.

Adding and removing tags

The Tags column shows up to two tags per item. If an item has more, a +N badge appears; hover it to see the rest.
1

Open the row's tag menu

Hover an item in the list and click the + icon in its Tags column.
2

Tick or untick tags

Tick a tag to add it to the item, or untick it to remove it. Changes are saved immediately.
On tables, tags will only appear on Custom tables. Platform tables can’t be tagged.

Filtering by tag

In the Workshop

Click Tags next to the search bar and tick one or more tags. The list shows items that have any of the selected tags, and the button changes to show how many tags are filtered, for example 2 tags filtered.
  • The tag filter combines with the search and the other filters on the tab, such as the status on Flows and Agents.
  • On the Tables tab, switching the table kind to Platform clears the tag filter.
  • If nothing matches, click Clear filters to reset them.

In Past usage

In Past usage, the Flows tab has its own Tags filter. It shows the runs of flows that have any of the selected tags, and combines with the time range, status and Started by filters. The smart runs search also respects it.

Editing and deleting tags

In the Tags menu of any Workshop tab, hover a tag and click its ⋮ menu:
  • Edit: change the tag’s name or color. The change applies everywhere the tag is used.
  • Delete: removes the tag from the workspace and from every flow, agent, knowledge base and table that had it. The items themselves are not affected.
Deleting a tag can’t be undone, and it affects every tool in the workspace, not just the tab you deleted it from.

Permissions

Without edit access, the + icon in the Tags column is hidden.

Tags in the API

Tables and flows returned by the public API include their tags, for example the tags field of List tables. Tags can’t be created or assigned through the public API; manage them in the Workshop.
